Fig and Chocolate Palmiers
This flaky pastry filled with delicious fig jam and dark chocolate sauce is complex and delicious. Thaw puff pastry according to directions and place a thin layer of fig jam http://mysaltykitchen.com/recipe/fig-jam/, leaving 1/4″ border. Drizzle chocolate sauce over the jam. Roll both sides of pastry toward the center until both sides meet. With a sharp knife, make 1/2″ cuts across the roll and place slices cut side down on a baking sheet lined with a silpat or parchment paper. Bake at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbling. Allow to cool completely on pan. Transfer to a serving platter.
